Kew is also home to the Royal Botanical Kew Gardens and the Public Records Office with records treasures from The National Archives. You can find landmarks of a thousand years of British history ranging from the Domesday book to Henry VIII to Oliver Cromwell, Adolf Hitler to Bonnie Prince Charlie, Samuel Pepys to Olaudah Equiano, with records revealing many aspects of British history and the wider world. You can also take boat rides along the river Thames to Hampton Court Palace which dates back to Henry the 8th. A longer boat ride in the opposite direction will take you all the way to Westminster.
